Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution of water for injection containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. It is supplied in a 30 mL multidose vial designed for repeated withdrawals when reconstituting or diluting sterile products such as research peptides, lyophilized compounds, or medications intended for parenteral administration.

The presence of benzyl alcohol inhibits the growth of bacteria, extending the usability of the solution for up to 28 days after first puncture when stored properly. This makes it the preferred choice for research professionals requiring multi-use stability and sterile precision.
